Tell us about your journey to becoming a holistic health practitioner?

Giving birth to my first son was my awakening. I began to realize how disconnected I was from my body. With my second pregnancy I began to practice yoga as soon as I found out I was pregnant. About 6 months after giving birth I began to feel a pull to learn more about holistic health. I enrolled into a bodywork program and that’s where I truly began my journey. That was 10 years ago.

Tell us about what you do and where we can find you?

I have been in practice for almost 10 years. Currently I’m doing business under the name of Rosa Alchemica (Alchemical Rose). My website is under construction and will soon be available with in depth information on the work I do and ways you can work with me. The work I do is intuitive. I recently started calling it shamanic bodywork. This work can truly be transformative. If you come to me, you're being guided to something deeper than just a relaxing massage; which you do get by the way! I not only look at the physical patterns in the body, I address energetic and emotional blockages. I love this work so I’m always learning new modalities and going to workshops to add new skills to my tool box. Currently I’m exploring using crystals and stones for healing. I always run my Reiki so you get that too and Polarity Therapy, which is an amazing modality that focuses on restoring a balanced distribution of the body’s energy and incorporates hands-on work, ayurvedic philosophy and the elements as guides and tools. It’s fascinating work. Because I’m also a yoga teacher, I like to share postures that help support what I am working on with a particular client. For now you can reach me via email: 1amor.espiral@gmail.com or Instagram: @ANYA_NEREIDA for treatments around LA.

What do you find is the easiest way for you to connect to your holistically minded community?

I like taking classes and attending workshops on topics that interest me, it's a great way to meet new people that are like minded. I also like to read whether it's from a magazine or social media, most of the people and sources I follow are relevant to holistic health and human evolution in all its forms science and spiritual :)

What is your favorite treatment that you like to spoil yourself with?

I loooove massage....I have a few trusted healers that I go to and they use many different modalities including polarity, reiki, and ayurveda. Even when I’m getting a hands-on massage, I’m always getting focused energy work as well. I also really enjoy just going to a spa and doing sauna, hot tub and cold dip rounds. It’s so yummy!!

What do you do on a daily basis that you find keeps your life on track in a holistic way?

I've found that my daily practice is always changing just as I am. However, I have found that I feel my best when I practice asana yoga, pranayama (breath work) and sitting meditation.

Where is your favourite place to nourish yourself?

Nature!

What practice or treatment can’t you live without?

Yoga, it supports me on so many levels.

Who do you admire in the holistic world?

My teacher/healer/friend Kathleen Shyptycki, her passion is contagious and she loves this work so much she does it just for fun, she is awesome.

How do you remain authentic within a commercial world?

I stay connected to my inner knowing. I trust that by staying true to myself I will attract my people/tribe.

Anything else you would like to add?

It is an honor to help people on their journey in this way. I practice gratitude every day for this gift.
